ACADEMIC RESOURCES

USF students have access to resources that can help them succeed in their academics. This includes writing centers, tutoring, textbook library rentals, and much more.
the academic succes center
The Academic Success Center (ASC) is the key, centralized learning center on the campus of the University of South Florida (USF). The ASC is comprised of three major sub-centers, the Tutoring Hub, SMART Lab, and the Writing Studio. Our tutors and ASC staff are valued members of the USF community who we also invest in, to ensure their successful experience during their employment and to bolster their roles as beacons of academic success for the student-clients we serve.

The Academic Success Center offers USF students tutoring assistance in a wide variety of subjects. Help is available on a drop-in basis or via appointments in a collaborative peer-to-peer group setting.

The Studio offers free appointments with experienced writing consultants to all active USF undergraduate and graduate students.

USF Student outreach and support
The office of Student Outreach & Support (SOS) helps students manage life stressors that can impact academics and personal well-being. SOS enhances student success by identifying needs, removing barriers and reducing distress. After receiving a referral for services, the office helps students through a variety of interventions, university services, community referrals and case management.
