Scholarships can help students cover costs for things such as education, room and board, personal expenses, and even study abroad and research opportunities! These are some scholarships offered for Latinx/Hispanic students.

USF Ventures Scholars Award

For incoming freshmen, in-state students

This scholarship "recognizes students designated as Ventures Scholars by the Ventures Scholars Program. To be considered for this award, you must submit your Ventures Scholars Certificate to scholarships@usf.edu by March 1."

Amount Offered: $4,000 ($1,000 per year)

The Kosove Scholarship

As a member of the Kosove Society, you will receive an all-inclusive scholarship to the University of South Florida at the Tampa Campus.

You may apply as either an undergraduate or a graduate student.  Undergraduate scholarships are renewable up to four years and graduate scholarships are renewable for up to two years.

Applications are accepted annually September-January for the following school year (to begin in August).
Interviews will be held for selected applicants in February-March 

The following students are eligible:

  • Incoming Freshmen

  • Rising USF Juniors

  • USF Graduate Students


Minimum Requirements:
Undergraduate - 3.5 GPA, 1250 SAT or 28 ACT
Graduate - 3.25 GPA  

the dream scholarships

For DACA Recipients

 

National Scholarship: For high school or community college graduates. You need to have DACA or TPS or meet TheDream.US immigration eligibility criteria and qualify for in-state tuition at one of our Partner Colleges to receive this scholarship. We also offer an online college option.

Amount: Up to $14,500 for an associate’s degree and $29,000 for a bachelor’s degree.

Opportunity Scholarship: For high school graduates who live in targeted, locked-out states that do not offer in-state tuition to DREAMers – or bar you from attending state colleges and universities altogether.  You need to have DACA, TPS or meet TheDream.US Immigration eligibility criteria and be admitted to one of our Opportunity Partner Colleges to receive this scholarship.  The Scholarship is for up to $80,000 to cover tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meals for a bachelor’s degree.
